Fees Policy (effective from 1 Sept 2012)
Annual membership fees
Two swimmers in same family £90
Three or more swimmers in same family £100
The annual membership fee is payable upon joining the club (a reduced rate applies in the first year if joining in the second half of the year) and then in March of each year. The club financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
ASA registration fees
Category 1 (Non competitive, generally those under 9) £16.40
Category 2 (Competitive member) £33.00
Category 3 (Committee members, officials and helpers of the club) £12.50
All swimmers are required to pay an annual fee to the Amateur Swimming Association. These fees are compulsory, set by the ASA and given in full to the ASA. They are subject to change by the ASA. The fees are insurance costs to cover the swimmer whilst they are part of this club and the ASA. This fee must be paid to the ASA before 31st March and so must be collected by the club before then.
Monthly swimming fees
Foundation £29.00 (3 sessions) £24.00 (2 sessions)
Swimming fees are payable monthly by standing order at the beginning of each month. For convenience the annual swimming fees are divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Fees are payable in full irrespective of whether the swimmer attends every session or not.
Payment of fees upon joining
The membership and ASA registration fees together with the first month’s swimming fees must be paid by cheque immediately upon joining the club. A standing order must be set up for the monthly fees before the second months fees are due. Any standing orders not set up by the third month after joining will result in the swimmer being removed from the list of members and not being permitted to swim.
Alteration to standing order amount upon change of squad
Please make sure you continue to pay the correct amount, especially upon changing squads. Please note that the club will require you to pay any back-dated amounts owing should you fail to amend your standing order on time.
Non payment of fees
Failure to pay the appropriate fees on time will result in the swimmer being removed from the list of members and not being permitted to swim.
The club is a non-profit making organisation so prompt payment of fees is essential to keep the club afloat! Collecting fees can be difficult and time-consuming so please help by paying these amounts as soon as you receive a request to do so. Remember that the person asking you is going to be an unpaid volunteer, giving up their own time for the benefit of the club. If you have a query please contact the Club Treasurer, Alicia Ryan rather than waiting until you are approached to find out why you haven’t paid.
